    "Break the ice and bring your characters to life!"

    The Department of Animation and Visual Effects is pleased to present the Ice-Breaking & Acting Essentials session, part of the NXT EFFECTS workshop series for final-year Animation & VFX students, held on 02 December 2025 at Yeldo Mar Baselios College. This session was expertly conducted by Mr. Kalesh Parameswar, a respected Actor and Acting Trainer, who guided students through the essential principles of performance. Focusing on foundational acting techniques, the session aimed to deepen participants' ability to infuse animation with realism and emotional depth. By refining their understanding of character expression and storytelling, students enhanced their capacity to bring animated characters authentically to life. This module played a crucial role in developing nuanced acting skills that elevate the overall impact of their creative work. Students gained valuable insights into bringing animated characters to life with greater authenticity and expressiveness. They were overwhelmed by many appreciating the practical approach that helped deepen their storytelling abilities and boost their confidence in character portrayal. This foundational module proved instrumental in equipping students with nuanced acting skills that will significantly enhance their creative work.
