    The Department of Multimedia proudly unveils Spirit of Cinema - Season 2, a creative learning initiative dedicated to celebrating the intricate artistry of film production and visual storytelling. The intensive programme titled Costume Craft: Designing for the Screen held on 13 November 2025 at 9:30 AM in the Media Block, offered participants a platform to engage in hands-on sessions, peer collaboration, and in-depth discussions on the artistry and craftsmanship that encourage participants in the conceptual, aesthetic, and technical dimensions of costume design within the cinematic framework. The inaugural session features renowned costume designer Gayathri Kishore as the resource person, sharing her professional insights into the creative process, aesthetic decisions, and collaborative dynamics that bring cinematic costumes to life with directorial vision, genre tone, and production design. Her expertise spans the entire workflow-from script analysis and research-driven concept sketches to material sourcing, color mapping, and continuity planning for screen projects. This workshop integrated participants visual mood boarding, character prototyping, fabric styling, and on-screen color theory to build comprehensive visual identities for film characters.
