    The Department of Animation and Visual Effects at Yeldo Mar Baselios College, Kothamangalam, hosted an engaging seminar titled "The Illusion of Motion: How Still Images Come to Life" on 21 October 2025. The session was designed exclusively for first-year VFX students, offering them a fascinating glimpse into the art and science of bringing still frames to life. The seminar featured Mr. Bejoy Cherian, a distinguished creative professional and postgraduate from London Metropolitan University, as the resource person. His international experience and deep passion for visual storytelling, guided students through the intricate relationship between perception, motion, and technology. He highlighted the key principles of persistence of vision, frame interpolation, and motion blur techniques. The workshop enhanced students understanding of cinematic storytelling, post-production workflows, and real-time rendering technologies crucial for professional VFX careers.
