From animation studios and production houses to interior design firms and fashion houses, the fair offered something for every student with a dream and a skill set to match. Why We Organised the Mega Job Fair

The idea behind the Mega Job Fair was born from a simple but powerful belief - that talented students should never have to struggle to find their place in the industry. The primary objective was to create a direct recruitment pathway between students and employers, eliminating the barriers that often separate skilled graduates from the companies that need them most.

By hosting recruiters directly on campus, students were given the rare opportunity to present their portfolios, demonstrate their capabilities and engage in meaningful face-to-face interactions that no online application or digital profile can ever truly replicate. The energy of a live conversation, the confidence built through a real interview  and the relationships formed through genuine human interaction - these are things that only an event like this can provide.

Beyond securing placements, the fair was designed to broaden students' understanding of the professional world. It aimed to expose them to the variety of opportunities available across creative industries, help them understand what employers truly look for and build the kind of professional confidence that only comes from stepping into the real world and holding your own.

Seven  Sectors, Countless Possibilities

The Mega Job Fair drew participation from companies operating across six vibrant and fast-growing sectors - Animation, VFX, Multimedia, Interior Design, Media, Digital Marketing and Fashion Design. This wide cross-sector representation was one of the most defining strengths of the event. Every student, regardless of their programme, found recruiters who were directly relevant to their field and genuinely interested in the talent Yeldo Mar Baselios College has to offer.

If there was one thing that defined the spirit of the Mega Job Fair, it was the remarkable readiness and enthusiasm of our students. Final-year students from across all departments participated in the event -  arriving with well-curated portfolios, professional attire and a genuine eagerness to take the next step in their careers.

In the weeks leading up to the fair, the Career and Placement Cell conducted dedicated orientation sessions to ensure every student walked in prepared. These sessions covered portfolio presentation techniques, interview etiquette, how to communicate strengths effectively, and how to make the most of every interaction with a potential employer. The effort paid off in full. On the day of the event, our students showed up not merely as candidates, but as confident, capable professionals ready to make their mark.

Many students had the opportunity to interact with multiple companies over the course of the day, significantly expanding their placement prospects while also gaining a much deeper understanding of what different organisations value in the people they hire.
