    DESIGN YOUR FUTURE: From Creative Sketch to Silver Screen!

    Unlock the magic of transforming creative sketches into blockbuster screens through Animation, Visual Effects (VFX), Gaming, and Comics (AVGC).The Placement Cell, in association with the Skill Centre at Yeldo Mar Baselios College of Media and Design (YMBC), hosted this transformative session on January 28, 2026, at Tagore Theatre. This dynamic sector fuels AAA games, immersive AR/VR experiences, and captivating graphic novels. With India's AVGC industry projected to explode by 2026, opportunities abound in high-demand roles like 3D modeling, character design, motion graphics, and storytelling-delivering lucrative careers for creative talents. Guest speaker Mr. Sankar Lal, Co-founder and Creative Director at Zebu FX, shared insider insights from his stellar career. Drawing from hands-on experience on global blockbusters like Kantara, The Jungle Book, and The Lion King, plus collaborations with Disney, he unveiled proven pathways to success in AVGC. Mr. Lal inspired attendees to seize opportunities, sharpen skills, and build portfolios that stand out in this booming creative goldmine. The first-year students in media, design, animation, and multimedia programs, this event was a game-changer. It bridged the gap between classroom learning and industry realities, demystifying complex workflows in VFX and gaming while igniting passion for storytelling.
