    The Department of Animation & Visual Effects at Yeldo Mar Baselios College proudly presents an exclusive workshop tailored for final-year students: NXT EFFECTS: Art of Filmmaking -Film Direction from Vision to Screen! on January 14, 2026. This immersive session offered a rare opportunity to dive deep into the cinematic process with Mr. Jithin Issac Thomas, the acclaimed director behind standout films like Rekha (2023), the Netflix-hit Attention Please (2021)and Freedom Fight (2022). His visionary journey from initial script conception to final screen realization, gaining hands-on insights into storytelling, direction techniques, and overcoming real-world production hurdles. This workshop promised a profound impact for final-year students, empowering them to bridge academic learning with professional filmmaking. Students emerged with enhanced script-to-screen workflows, sharpened directorial instincts, and practical strategies for tackling narrative complexities and secure internships at leading VFX studios, in order to contribute various intercollegiate projects with Netflix-level polish.
