    KNOW YOUR RIGHTS: Empowering First-Year Students Against Sexual Harassment !

    The Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell, in proud association with the Readers' and Speakers' Forum, proudly presents an indispensable Sexual Harassment Awareness Class exclusively for first-year students at Yeldo Mar Baselios College of Media and Design, Kothamangalam on 28 January 2026, this interactive class empowered them to recognize, report, and prevent harassment, fostering a safer campus environment. This vital session equips you with critical knowledge of your legal rights and protections, delivered by renowned Resource Person Adv. Jitty Augustian, MBA, LLM, Legal Counsellor at Vimala Mahila Samajam Service Providing Centre, Muvattupuzha. This session profoundly influences first-year students to handle complex legal frameworks and fostering lasting resilience. Students depart with a comprehensive grasp of POSH Act provisions, including rights during inquiries and anonymity safeguards, alongside practical skills for safe reporting to the external authorities. Many experienced a behavioral shift, with intervention during unsafe situations. The ripple effect builds stronger peer networks, reducing isolation-feedback indicates them to feel safer and more vocal afterward. Over time, this workshop enhanced the students to have daily interactions, perfectly aligning with commitments and indispensable knowledge under the guidance of Adv.
