    The Social Service League of Yeldo Mar Baselios College of Media & Design (YMBC), in association with Kerala Fire and Rescue Services, proudly organizes an essential Awareness Session on CPR Training and Emergency Planning on 27 th February, 2026, at SMD block. Join Station Officer Mr. Ajmal Sha from Fire and Rescue Station Kothamangalam as he equips you with life-saving skills to become a true community hero. This hands-on session empowers our students, faculty, and staff with critical knowledge, including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) basics for cardiac arrests, choking, or drowning; emergency planning essentials like fire safety, evacuation protocols, and first aid; and real-world strategies to act swiftly. Students enjoyed live demonstrations, scenario-based simulations, group drills, and a Q&A with the expert, who brings over a decade of frontline experience training thousands. Open to all with no prior experience required, the session was ideal for those passionate about social service, healthcare, or public safety. The Social Service League committee transformed into a lifesaver today and contribute to a safer tomorrow. The session concluded on an electrifying note, igniting a spark of purpose in every student. Witnessing peers confidently perform CPR and strategize evacuations shifted mindsets from observed to action-takers, fostering a profound sense of empowerment and responsibility. Inspired by Mr. Sha's real-life heroics, students left not just skilled, but transformed-eager to champion safety in their families, campuses, and communities, embodying YMBC's commitment to holistic youth development.
