    Yeldo Mar Baselios College of Media & Design (YMBC) is thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of വിജ്ഞാനകേരളം (Vijnana Keralam), an exclusive K-DISC Soft Skills Training Program organized by the Skill Centre in proud association with the Placement Cell and IQAC. Tailored for final-year students in Animation & VFX, Graphic Design, Multimedia, Fashion, and Interior Design, this two-day workshop took place on 24-25 February 2026 at the iconic Tagore Theatre in Kochi. Students gained essential skills in communication, leadership, teamwork, and career readiness, equipping them to excel in competitive creative industries. Led by the esteemed Dr. Xavier P. E., Deputy Vice President (Kerala) at Piramal Capital & Housing Finance Ltd. and Master Mentor of the Vijnana Keralam Janakiya Campaign, the program featured interactive sessions on articulating ideas confidently, leading innovative projects, fostering collaboration, and mastering interviews and personal branding. Over 150 students engaged in practical activities, capstone challenges, and K-DISC certified modules, emerging with actionable tools and certificates to boost their professional profiles. The event highlighted YMBC's commitment to holistic student development, bridging academic learning with real-world demands. Highlights included dynamic icebreakers, team-building exercises, and placement prep strategies, all supported by refreshments and expert guidance. As Dr. Xavier inspired the audience with insights from corporate leadership and Kerala's youth campaigns, attendees praised the program's relevance to media and design careers.
