    Yeldo Mar Baselios College (YMBC) warmly invites first-year students of BA Animation & Graphic Design and BA Animation & Visual Effects to "Break the Ice" a lively, interactive session designed to welcome new students, spark creativity, and build community on 21 July 2026 at the YMBC campus, this event features popular celebrity radio jockeys Vinu and Sarath, whose energy, quick wit, and experience engaging diverse audiences promise a memorable start to the academic year. This programme structured, student-centered programme crafted to ease the transition into college life while promoting collaboration and confidence. Vinu and Sarath lead a series of interactive activities, storytelling segments, and improvised challenges that encourage participation, loosen nerves, and highlight the importance of communication in creative professions. Their session blended humour with practical insights from handling on-stage jitters and pitching creative ideas to forging productive peer relationships - making the experience both entertaining and instructive for aspiring animators and designers. The event also placed a strong emphasis on networking and peer bonding. Students actively participated in guided icebreaker exercises and small-group discussions designed to foster new friendships and cross-disciplinary exchange between Graphic Design and Visual Effects cohorts. Through curated prompts and collaborative exercises, students practiced to introduce themselves professionally, articulating their creative interests, and forming project teams essential skills for studio-oriented courses and future industry collaborations.
