Master Human Form: Anatomy Drawing Workshop!

Unlock the secrets of the human form through the captivating art of anatomy drawing. The Department of Animation & Visual Effects at Yeldo Mar Baselios College proudly hosted an immersive workshop on March 26, 2026, exclusively for first-year students. This hands-on session equipped participants with essential techniques to master human structure, proportion, and dynamic form-core skills that bring characters to life in animation and VFX projects. Guided by the esteemed Mr. Mithun Mohan, Assistant Professor from the Department of Multi Sports & Fitness at MES College, Marampilly, students delved into practical exercises blending anatomical precision with artistic expression. Mr. Mohan's expertise in human physiology and movement provided invaluable insights, helping students translate real-world anatomy into believable 2D and 3D models. From sketching muscle groups and skeletal frameworks to capturing gesture and pose, the workshop bridged traditional drawing fundamentals with modern digital animation workflows. Students were also engaged in interactive drills, live demonstrations, and peer critiques, fostering a collaborative environment that sparked creativity and technical growth. Whether refining proportions for character rigging or enhancing realism in visual effects sequences, these tools empower students to elevate their portfolios and tackle industry-level challenges. This workshop not only honed foundational drawing skills but delivered a transformative impact on VFX students' abilities. By mastering human anatomy, our students now expertized in crafting more authentic, fluid animations and effects-boosting their confidence, precision, and readiness for professional pipelines in animation, film, and gaming.
